The SPANDAU BALLET Story Part 2

The second Spandau Ballet album sold as well as the first but did little to propel the band forwards. The biggest hit from it was Chant No.1 (I Don’t Need This Pressure On), released in the summer of 1981: it was a distant memory by the time the album made the record shop racks in March 1982. By that time there had been a couple of further tasters from the album, but they were minor hits when compared with the band’s recent track record.

Instinction, as mixed by Trevor Horn for its single release, returned them to the Top 10 in the UK. Following promotion of it, the group returned to the studio to record their next record. They were on the brink of international fame.
